About Me

About Me

Lisa Grace, LMFT

I am a Marriage Family Therapist specializing in strength-based, relational work with individuals, teens, and families.

I gained the majority of my experience providing treatment for teens and their families.  All of the teens struggled to cope with serious mental health concerns such as: Depression, Anxiety, ADHD/ADD, Bipolar, PTSD and serious self-harm behaviors. In addition to these challenges, many of the my youth came into treatment from foster care system and/or adopted families, and more than a quarter of them, self-identified on the LGBTQ spectrum.

I also spent many years co-leading teen groups: self-expression, music appreciation, LBGTQ, identity development, coping skills, and creative art. Group work offers the benefit of real-time interactions, that allow the teen to practice authentic social interaction, building communication skills and self-confidence.

My personal counseling style, is interactive, and person centered. My core philosophy is connecting with my clients through kindness and building on their strengths. In a nonjudgmental atmosphere, my goal is to foster dialogue that encourages openness and self reflection. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address and overcome personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client’s needs and goals.
